An interesting little tid-bit here for all my manga and anime loving friends. The film studio, Warner Bros. is in negotiations to secure the rights to the "Bleach" manga series in order to produce a big screen adptation of the popular anime and manga series. Peter Segal, the director of 50 First Dates and Get Smart is tipped to produce the film. Warner Bros. are also in the middle of producing a live action adaptation of the anime "Akira"
As for the rest of us non-manga reading and non-anime watching folk out there, "Bleach" was an original manga (Japanese comic) written and illustrated by Tite Kubo and has been published in weekly installments in Japan since August 2001. As it's popularity grew, it resulted in the production of an anime series(animated TV series). "Bleach" is about a 15-year-old boy who meets a Soul Reaper and this eventually changes his life as he must eventually protect the living and the dead from evil.
